Heathrow Terminal 2
We arrived in Heathrow ready for our rebook flight to Singapore on Singapore Airlines. I expected to pick up thr boarding cards a Singapore check in desk, only to find there was no mention of us on the flight.
I had to go to the Lufthansa service desk to sort it, only there isn't a Lufthansa service desk!
I asked at another service desk to be told Lufthansa had closed all of theirs, but gate B27 (a check in desk) had a representative.
B27, knew nothing about it, but she worked hard on what appears to be a very poor computer system as she had to ring someone several time to get it to work and print out or "boarding card".
Off to the Singapore desk. The "boarding card" wasn't, it had no booking number on it, so back to B27.
There was now a short queue at B27, so about 10 minutes later, back to square one.
The young lady on the desk again rang somebody, typed on the keyboard, scanned our passport, and eventually wrote the number on the boarding card.
Back to Singapore Airlines check in. IT WORKED.
So after nearly an hour of back and forth we had our bags check and real boarding card in our hands, ready to go.
Jeannette got stopped at security, but that was a minor hiccup.
A pint and fish and chips for me, a half and tandoori chicken for Jeannette.
